Dr. Colin Roland Tilbury (* 01 Mai 1952, in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) ist ein sĂĽdafrikanischer Arzt und Hobby Herpetologe.

Colin Tilbury ist ausbildender Arzt an der Universität von Kapstadt und Internist, spezialisiert auf Tropenmedizin und Berufskrankheiten. Er hat schon an vielen Orten der Welt gearbeitet, welche durch die Verlockungen von neuen und interessanten Reptilien bestimmt wurden. Tilbury hat eine Frau (seine größte Unterstützung) und drei Kinder, die ihm sagen "wo es langgeht"(Zitat Tilbury "who tell me what to do and when to do it). Zu seinen Hobbys zählen neben der Herpetologie noch Afrika entdecken, die Fotografie , Wandern, Fischen und sein Garten. Sein Hauptschwerpunkt in der Herpetology ist im Moment die Chamäleonevolution, Genetik und die Taxonomie.
